Root Treatment
Deep caries, fractures, acute and chronic trauma to the teeth, nerve damage, and irreversible pain or sensitization may result. In such a case, the nerve-ven package in the teeth is removed with special tools and the inside of the roots are cleaned. The canal is then filled with filling materials. This protocol is called root treatment.
The patient does not feel any pain during the procedure because root treatment the will be done after local anesthesia is done. Treatment can be single or multi-session. Root treatment and filling are different procedures performed on the same tooth. If the physician considers it necessary, the fracture of the weakened tooth is prevented by making a porcelain crown according to the tooth loss. Treatment may fail (5-10%) in cases of occlusion, stenosis, excessive curvature of the root, obstinate infection, etc. in the roots of the teeth.
